Runners of Compassion is sponsoring a volunteer who, through the Sport Coaches Outreach (SCORE) program, is helping to provide sporting opportunities in disadvantaged rural communities throughout South Africa.

Many townships and rural communities have no qualified physical education teachers, equipment is scarce and facilities are substandard.

The volunteers use sport as a tool to teach life skills and strengthen communities.
