The World Kids Voyage is an educational outreach program initiated by Eric Blackburn of Cranbrook, B.C. Aboard his self-built eight-metre sloop, the Chicadee, he has delivered shoeboxes full of school supplies and friendship letters from children in North America to children in developing countires. His biggest accomplishment so far has been building an elementary school in Cagrejo, a tiny village set deep in the jungles of Nicaragua. Runners of Compassion have been pleased to provide donations to purchase school supplies and educational materials as well as a donation to build a desk for the teacher. RoC also provided funding to repair children's playground equimpment in San Juan Del Sur, the closest city to Cangrejo, and install trash bins.
