Next RofC meeting - NEW MEMBERS WELCOME!
Our next meeting will be held as follows: Monday July 23rd @ 6:00 PM at Oaklands Community Center which is at 2827 Belmont Street (corner of Ryan & Belmont attached to Oaklands Elementary School). We are giving this new location a test drive – it will still be a potluck at 6:00 and meeting at 7:00 format. Thanks to Juliana for setting this up.

Membership Dues
Please make an effort to pay your membership dues as they are now due! May 31st marks the end of our fiscal year so please send in your $20 membership dues as soon as you are able.

Remember, these dues are an important part of our funding and help out with our sponsored projects.

Sunshine and Smiles: Triathlon of Compassion 2007 Summary

The fourth annual Triathlon of Compassion race to raise money for the Victoria Womens Sexual Assault Centre was hosted at Naden CFB Esquimalt this morning. The event was organized by Runners of Compassion, with race director, Andrea Carey at the helm of over 100 fabulous volunteers.
The event featured 40 first time triathletes, and 244 participants tackling a 500m swim, 19km bike ride, and 5km run. The triathlon also has a youth division with a 100m swim, 6.8km ride and 1.6km run.
